QUOTATION ANALYST

Lighting Environments and Environments is looking to hire a Quotation Analyst to join our growing team in Richmond, Virginia.  

 

This position is responsible for developing bids for quotes for lighting fixture procurement based on RFQs (customer requests for quotes) received daily. The Quotation Analyst will apply knowledge of industry standards and establish relationships in order to succeed in winning these bids.  This position has a direct impact on the financial profitability of the company based on the ability of the Quotation Analyst to offer competitive quotes while assuring company profitability. Additionally, this position will:

  • Work independently to interpret lighting schedules, analyze bill of materials, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to complete quote packages.

  • Review options through various vendor product lines to determine appropriate pricing and forwards bids to the manufacturer.

  • Oversees the process to the quote’s acceptance.

  • Handles all appropriate customer communication through Oasis software and Outlook.

  • Provides excellent customer service to both external and internal customers by showing an appreciation for urgency, when needed, showing a commitment to accuracy and through the practice of prompt response times digitally and via phone.

  • Negotiate financially on the company’s behalf to assure acceptance of a competitive quote (the level of authority will be determined by the manager and/or partner).

  • Creates job files (digitally and manually), monitors the Quote Box based on defined time frames and develops reports for weekly meetings.

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner. 

 

We are looking for a quote analyst who:

  • Can multi-task and have good time management skills. 

  • Adept in technology (ERP systems, MS Office). 

  • Highly detail oriented, with excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume

  • Work independently, prioritize work and handle simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy.

  • Detail oriented with exemplary organization skills. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of data entry experience and progressive responsibility in customer service.  

  • High School diploma/GED is required.  An Associate’s Degree in a business curriculum preferred.
