PROJECT MANAGER

Lighting Environments and Environments is looking for Project Managers to join our growing Controls team in the Baltimore-Metropolitan and Richmond, Virginia area! 

 

We are seeking to hire two (2) high-performing Project Managers! This position is the primary point of contact in managing the customer quote and order process from start to finish, including coordinating with internal and external contacts to facilitate all aspects of each customer project. Additionally, this position will:

  •  Represent the company by providing excellent customer service, understanding the controls systems and products Lighting Environments represents. (Manufacturer specific training will be provided). 

  • Manage complex problem resolution and day-to-day issues with professionalism. 

  • Manage complex customer controls orders from the point the quote has been entered to the finish, including the reviewing of all open orders, quotes, claims, replacements, sample ordering and returns, etc. until the issues have been resolved and all phases of the order are completed on schedule.

  • Investigate and resolve customer grievances that directly impact company profitability based on predefined pricing strategies.  

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the controls systems and be able to communicate those details clearly to customers.

  • Read blueprints/drawings and interpret lighting structures within them.

  • Assist with specification registration, maintain customer files, manage sample ordering, tracking and returning.  

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently.

  • Ability to respond timely, good time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and ERP system (Oasis and/or other PM systems).

  • Competent in verbal and written communications.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or four (4) years’ experience in industry preferred.

  • Experience managing projects simultaneously.

     

Training on AutoCAD, Bluebeam and other lighting specific software will be provided.
